Refresher Operator Training

This course is intended for current Lift Truck operators wishing to renew their certification and refresh previously learned skills. It will also update the skills of those who may not have operated a Lift Truck for some time or show signs of deterioration in operator performance.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Understand operator legal duties and responsibilities
  • Operate a Lift Truck safely and efficiently
  • Reduce risk of injury to operators and pedestrians
  • Carry out a pre-use inspection
  • Safe stacking and de-stacking procedures
  • Complete the theory and practical assessments at course closure

Certification: Certificate of Basic training issued in accordance with the Health & Safety Authority’s Approved Code of Practice for Lift Truck Operator Training.

Experienced Operator Training

Many accidents are caused by untrained Lift Truck operators. This course is intended for those with at least 12 months operating experience who do not have a current operator’s certificate.

Novice Operator Training

This course is intended for beginners or uncertified operators with very limited experience. Learners will gain the basic skills and knowledge necessary to operate safely and efficiently.

Conversion Training

This course is intended for currently certified operators on one truck type to become certified on another truck type. Conversion is between Counterbalanced, Reach or Pivot Steer Lift Trucks.
